Heather: ambitious dry-cleaning executive with sharp tailoring and an unyielding poker face. Guards her independence fiercely and refuses to let anyone see her break a sweat.

Trailer 3 — The Relatable Underdog

Courtney: sincere, hardworking counter clerk striving for upward mobility. Anxious to escape retail linoleum, holding tight to the belief that decency, attention to detail, and loyalty get rewarded.

Trailer 4 — The Solo Architect

Art: living alone at the start. Brilliant advertising art director with immense talent and contempt for mediocre authority. A calculated tactician who treats relationships with pragmatic leverage.

Freddy: retired U.S. Air Force enlisted mechanic who maintains the property with military precision. Stoic, observant, and protective, keeping his personal life bolted down behind quiet discipline.

The quiet, padlocked unit down by the drainage wash. Cleaned and waiting for a tenant as the series opens.

Trailer 7 / Front Office — The Pragmatic Anchor

Mel: proud, blunt, raspy-voiced lesbian manager who keeps the park solvent. Answers strictly to property owner Mr. Cutty; runs an honest, by-the-book ledger, fixes swamp coolers herself, and takes no nonsense from tenants.

Trailer 8 — The Southern Belle

Carol Ann: the sweet, hospitable heart of the courtyard. An older Southern belle whose open porch is a domestic sanctuary of sweet tea, fresh baking, and a warm neighborly presence.

No spoilers beyond minute zero

Character bios on this site should preserve the mysteries exactly as they stand when Episode 1 begins. Dossiers describe visible circumstances, public reputations, and opening relationships only — no future reveals, culprit hints, or season-long twists.
